DOMINO
Adopted August 26, 2025
Domino was abandoned. We don’t know what happened: maybe Domino was an Easter pet when he was little and the reality of owning an animal became too much. Or maybe a move to a new home that did not allow pets was the reason. We know though that Domino was not abandoned because he wasn’t cute enough or affectionate enough or playful enough. Ashley and her daughter knew from the minute they met Domino that Domino was all those things and many more! We are very happy to report Domino now has a new home and a new family... and he couldn't be any happier!
ANNA
Adopted August 21, 2025
Anna, a Doberman Pinscher puppy, was rescued from a high-kill shelter because she was sick and AALOC knew she would be euthanized. We believe she may have been taken from her mother and littermates shortly after birth and dropped off at a high-kill shelter as a “stray.” She cried and cried for her canine family when we picked her up. Anna needed a patient new family that would love and play with her. Well Anna got that and more. A wonderful family, complete with sibling canine, decided Anna would be the perfect addition to their family. We are so grateful this family chose to adopt Anna!
DAPHNE
Adopted August 18, 2025
Dinos, Dimitri, Drea, and Daphne were brought to AALOC by a couple. They set the crate with the kittens down and ran off. The kittens were just three weeks old. They were all hypothermic and malnourished, but the AALOC team was able to stabilize them all and found a wonderful bottle feeding foster... and they all survived. Daphne is the strongest and bravest of her litter. Like many mackerel tabbies she is a true explorer and likes to be involved in anything that is happening. She excelled extremely fast and seems very intelligent and affectionate. So it's no wonder that the compassionate foster who cared for Daphne since she was a kitten decided to keep this exceptional cat. Thank you for making Daphne a permanent member of your family!
JERRY
Adopted August 18, 2025
Larry, Harry, Perry, Jerry, Gary and Karrie arrived as sick kittens with giardia and respiratory infections. With the medical attention they needed provided by AALOC all the kittens survived. Larry and Karrie were previously adopted and now Jerry has found a new home with new friends and a wonderful pet parent to love. We wish you a long and happy life Jerry!
LUKE
Adopted August 14, 2025
Luke was rescued from the San Diego Humane Society. He is a young Plott Hound mix, approximately 74 pounds in weight. Luke is a real looker: very majestic with stunning black and brown brindle fur, amber soulful eyes, and a tall muscular stature. Luke was living with a foster family and their dog Boone (who was also adopted from AALOC) when the fosters decided to make it permanent and formally adopt him. Thank you to the individuals who stepped forward to care for Luke as a foster and giving him a new forever home and family!
