ABOUT TROOPER
Trooper was at the Orange County Animal Care Center since April 2024. He attended all of the public adoption events and quickly became a volunteer favorite! So, it came as quite a shock when 14 months later, he was involved in a bite incident with a stranger on the shelter property which led to him being removed as available for public adoption. His only hope was to be rescued, and AALOC stepped forward to help him. The AALOC team was able to scoop up Trooper in the nick of time. When we arrived to take Trooper to our humane center, numerous Orange County Animal Care volunteers came to give Trooper the send-off he deserved, with love and best wishes as he left for his new rescue home.
Trooper was adopted once during his stay at Orange County Animal Care Center. The adopter said Trooper was an amazing dog that loved the family and children very much. But the new owner had back disabilities and found Trooper (at 70 pounds) too difficult to walk frequently from the apartment they lived in.
Trooper is available to an adult-only home. He loves attention, going for walks and playing. He is a people dog who would love to have someone special to share his life with.
Please complete an application to adopt Trooper. Once your application is reviewed and approved, we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Trooper and get to know him a bit. For more information on adoption policies click here to view our dog adoption requirements.
Donation of $165 for dog adoption includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, and a microchip. Applications require a veterinary reference and home visit (in Orange County, CA).
