NALAH FAMILY
On the night of July 12, AALOC received an urgent call through our Pet Aid line—a one-year-old French Bulldog named Nalah was in labor with three puppies and desperately needed help. Her original owner had planned to surrender her to a shelter, but a kindhearted neighbor stepped in to give Nalah a chance. Just six days later, Nalah went into labor—but complications quickly arose.
With no car and no means to afford emergency care, the new owner called multiple animal organizations, pleading for help. AALOC was the only one to answer.
One of our dedicated volunteers rushed Nalah to a veterinary urgent care clinic, where an emergency c-section and spay were performed just after midnight. Two male puppies were delivered—tiny fighters named Noah (cream-colored) and Nicky (brindle). Heartbreakingly, the third puppy didn’t survive.
Noah and Nicky had a rough start, but both quickly gained strength and have been thriving in foster care. They're now healthy, happy, and enthusiastic eaters—often seen with milk mustaches after nursing. Nalah has proven to be an exceptional mother, even teaching her pups to bark by just five days old. Although we believe Nalah is a purebred French Bulldog, our vet feels the puppies may not be purebred French Bulldogs because of their larger size.
Please apply to adopt Nalah, Nicky or Noah. Once your application is reviewed and approved we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet the Nalah family and get to know them a bit. For more information on adoption policies click here to view our dog adoption requirements.
Donation of $165 for dog adoption includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, and a microchip. Applications require a veterinary reference and home visit (in Orange County, CA). For more information on adoption policies visit our dog adoption page at www.aaloc.org. Contact us by e-mail at aaloc@aaloc.org or by phone (714) 893-4393.
PLEASE NOTE: APPLICATIONS FOR NALAH, NICKY AND NOAH WILL NOT BE REVIEWED UNTIL THE PUPPIES ARE AT LEAST 8 WEEKS OF AGE - ABOUT MID-SEPTEMBER.
