ABOUT KATO

Kato’s life nearly ended before it truly began. While being held at another Orange County shelter, this young German Shepherd mix was diagnosed with Parvo. Although a new medication now offers a highly effective cure, Kato was still scheduled to be euthanized.

AALOC couldn’t let Kato's story end that way. One of our dedicated team members rushed to pick him up and bring him to our trusted veterinary clinic, where he received the treatment he desperately needed. Thanks to swift action and excellent care, Kato made a full recovery.

Today, Kato is a healthy, happy pup ready to begin the next chapter of his life — finding his forever family. At just 20 pounds now, he’ll grow to a typical German Shepherd size. He’s brimming with energy and affection, adores people of all ages, and gets along well with other dogs (though he hasn’t met any cats yet). For Kato, every day is an adventure waiting to be shared, and he’s eager to fill someone’s life with love, joy, and tail wags.

Please complete an application to adopt or foster Kato. Once your application is reviewed and approved, we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Kato and get to know him a bit.
