ABOUT BARLEY
By all accounts, Barley should have been dead at this point. Barley was on the euthanasia list at a San Bernardino shelter but was spared when the shelter staff ran out of time euthanizing that day. Out of the 20 dogs listed for euthanasia 15 were killed, three went to other rescues and two – Barley and Captain – were spared for lack of time. Fortunately a volunteer from AALOC was able to transfer Barley (and Captain) to the safety of our humane center. We look forward to finding Barley the new home and life he so deserves.
Barley is a shepherd mix that looks bigger than he really is. Barley weighs about 43 pounds but is a tall and lanky cowboy. He is so happy-go-lucky and super playful and just wants to be loved.
Please complete an application to adopt Barley. Once your application is reviewed and approved, we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Barley and get to know him a bit. For more information on adoption policies click here to view our dog adoption requirements.
Adoption donation of $165 per dog includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, and a microchip. Applications require a veterinary reference and home visit. We adopt to residents of Orange County, CA and surrounding areas. Please note: For families with children, we require children to be 10 years of age or older, although exceptions are made depending on the circumstances.
