Kittens, just helpless, little 17-week-old kittens, left at the doorstep. Thankfully one of the AALOC team saw them and brought them into our humane center before anything bad happened to them.
There are five males. We named them Perry, Larry, Harry, Gary and Jerry. They are all very different, with different coats and different personalities. One thing though – they are all 100% decidedly cute and very adoptable.
Harry is one cool black cat, complete with black button nose and green eyes. Harry can be a little shy but warms up quickly and likes attention. Perry is all mackerel tabby. He has strong black and tan markings and a very discernable “M” on his forehead. Perry is sweet and likes attention but can be a bit shy at first. Jerry, an orange and white tabby. Friendly and very playful, Jerry craves human attention and interaction. He has golden eyes and a pink button nose. Larry is the smallest of the group. He is almost entirely white with steel blue-gray eyes, with one exception: his light orange striped tail. Gary looks most like Larry – almost all white – but with orange around his nose and lighter blue eyes. Gary is the shyest one of the group.
As with most kittens, early human interaction is important to their social development. Play at this stage of a cat’s life is also vital because it increases their physical coordination, confidence and curiosity, and teaches limits while they explore leadership ranking (who’s in charge) and how to be a cat. These kittens will need some special attention and care to make sure they grow into a strong felines. Making sure they eat the right food formulated for kitten growth and receive the necessary vaccinations and spaying/neutering during their first year is also important. Because they are so small we are also recommending these kittens be adopted into families with children 12 years or older.
Please submit an application to adopt one of the kittens. Once your application is reviewed and approved we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet the selected cat (or cats!) and get to know him (or them!) a bit.
