ABOUT CLIFF
Animal Assistance League of Orange County received an urgent call from Orange County Animal Care: nine puppies, all approximately 12 weeks old, had tested positive for parvovirus. One other tiny puppy had already lost the fight and died.
These babies had been abandoned at a veterinary hospital and then transferred to the shelter. Frightened, sick, and without a family to advocate for them, their future looked grim. In years past, a positive parvo diagnosis often meant little hope. But today, thanks to a groundbreaking treatment, parvo is no longer the death sentence it once was.
A generous donor stepped forward and provided enough monoclonal antibody treatment for all nine puppies. The veterinary staff at Orange County Animal Care administered the lifesaving injections, giving each puppy a fighting chance to survive. One has since passed but the rest were fighters. Day by day, these eight little survivors, three female and five males, gained strength and demonstrated their incredible will to live. All of the remaining eight puppies are all fully recovered and ready for new homes.
Cliff is an easygoing, happy puppy who seems ready to make friends wherever he goes. His sweet expression matches a personality that's likely to be loyal, playful, and eager to learn. Whether it's a family hike or a cozy evening on the couch, Cliff looks like he'll be happiest simply spending time with his people.
