On one evening in October two teenage boys were beating a pit bull mix with wooden bats as she lay unable to move from numerous broken bones and injuries. Unable to defend herself or run away to safety, the torture only stopped when a good samaritan chased the abusers away and brought Maggie to a neighbor for help. The Animal Assistance League of Orange County rushed Maggie to Advanced Critical Care Veterinary hospital where she was treated, and with the support of many concerned and generous people pulled through and is now looking for a forever home.
Maggie is a playful dog who greets everyone with a wiggle and a kiss! She loves car rides and walks in the park, and will give up her belly for a rub once she gets to know you. She is not overly active and does not require long walks. A bit of a couch potato, Maggie prefers spending her time now in a warm home with a cozy bed. Maggie does not interact well with other animals though, so a home without other pets is required. Please consider giving her the home she deserves.
We'd like you to meet Maggie before submitting an application. Please call (714) 893-4393 to arrange for a meet 'n' great with this lovely pooch.
