Dee Dee & Pups

As Dee Dee lay in the back seat of a run down car at the vets, her homeless owners only reported that she was a nice dog who had a previous gunshot to her back leg. A Good Samaritan convinced the couple to relinquish the mom and pups to him, and he contacted AALOC for rescue help. Dee Dee's x-rays revealed the tragic reality of her abuse: more than one hundred BB pellets were sprayed along her body and rear leg (see xray), and two fractures in her rear leg that were left to heal on their own, causing Dee Dee to use her rear leg more like a stump. The one thing that they couldn't take from her was her spirit and her love of people.
